Funny Fishing Videos - Hilarious

I love to go fishing. Fishing is one of my favorite ways to spend the day with my husband and grandchildren.

I also enjoy watching those fishing shows that come on the Outdoors channel. While watching those fishing programs I always wonder, where is the birds nest, the snagged lures, the falling in the water.

First day last year, April first in New York, I took my grandson, Colton (he was 10 at the time) fishing with me. The first place we stopped, Colton asked me if he could use one of his grandpa's favorite lures. Knowing his grandpop does not let them use his lures because they ALWAYS lose them.

Grandmom is a push over and tied the lure on, warning DO NOT get that lure snagged or lose it. Grand pa will kill us. What do you think happened? First cast Colton got that lure snagged on something on the other side of the stream. No worries, I can walk across the bridge, go down the bank and set the snagged lure free.

Yeah right, if you fish then you know it is never that easy. I walked across the bridge, down the bank where someone had thrown an old metal grate that I did not see under the dead weeds. When I stepped on the metal grate it popped up and I tripped and fell right in to the freezing water. HEAD FIRST! Man, was that water cold. My grandson stood froze on the other side of the stream not knowing what to do. That water was so cold, I could not even help myself up. I was trying to tell Colton to come over and help me up but all that would come out of my mouth was, Colt, Colt, Colt. Later Colton told me he thought I was saying, cold, cold, cold.

Colton and I went back to the truck where I took off the wet coat, wet socks and dumped the water out of my boots. Colton, says real careful, I guess that is it for fishing today. I replied, Hell No! We are going back to the house where I will get changed, grab a cup of hot coffee and off we will go back to the streams. Boy, was Colton surprised and happy at the same time.

We had a great and fun fishing day together. We have had many since.
