How To Make Taco Casserole
Almost everyone loves Tacos. Do you ever see them at parties or cookouts? Not really. They are too messy. If there were a way you could take tacos to a party without the mess would you? Sure you would. Everyone would love you. Especially the kids.
Why not be the hit of the party and bring a Taco casserole? It is very easy to make. Takes about a half hour to make and you only need to bring one dish.
Here is the recipe just in time for all those cookouts, weddings and dinners.
1/2 cup Diced green chiles
1 pkg Taco seasoning
18 Taco shells broken
2 cups Shredded mild cheddar cheese (you can use stronger if you like)
How To Make Easy Taco Casserole
You Will Need:
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup of water
1/2 cup of think and smooth Taco sauce
diced tomatoes and sliced green onions for toppings
How To make Easy Taco Casserole
Preheat your oven to 375, grease a 9x13 baking dish
Cook the ground beef with the onions until the meat is browned, then drain and put back in the pan
Stir together in the pan (with the beef) water, taco sauce, chilies and seasoning mix. Cook over a low heat for around 5 minutes. This will bring the seasonings together with the meat.
Layer half of the broken shells on the bottom of the baking dish. Cover the shells with half the meat sauce sprinkle with a cup of the cheese. Repeat with the remaining taco shells, meat sauce and cheese.
Bake for around 25 minutes or until you see the cheese is bubbly and melted
After you take the taco casserole from the oven top it with the tomatoes and green onions.
I like to add sour cream to mine after I put it on my plate. You can add black olives too if you want.

Delicious hub. A friend of mine thinks adding cumin (cumino) to anything makes it a little more Mexican-tasting. If you don't have the taco seasoning mix, you could make your own -- salt, cumin, cayenne . . .
