Robert Nay - CEO Teen Prodigy - Free Bubble Ball App

By

Robert Nay - creater of top iPhone App Bubble Ball

Robert Nay is a 14 year old child prodigy. This amazing teen has designed and created the newest top application for Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Bubble Ball is FREE to down load and is the number one app in iTunes App Store, knocking Angry Fish from this spot.

The Free Bubble Ball app available from Apples iTunes App Store has been downloaded more then 2 million times in two weeks. If it had been for sale at $0.99 Nay would have made over 2 million dollars so far .

Robert was in the third grade when he created his first web page. His friends knowing his great skills on the computer suggested he try and make his own game.

Robert Nay is the pint sized programmer, 14 year old CEO of Nay Games. Nay is from Spanish Fork Utah where he did the research for Bubble ball in his local library.

He found a program Ansca Mobile's Corona SDK (software developer's kit), that would help simplify the task.

For more than a month, Robert spent a couple of hours each day on the game, ultimately writing more than 4,000 lines of computer code. Robert said he had fun creating the game which was inspired by some of his favorite iPod games.

According to its App store description "Bubble Ball" is a "fun, new physics puzzle game, where you will test your ingenuity and thinking skills to get the bubble to the goal.

All of the reviews I have read for Free Bubble ball download have been positive.

Robert Nay has said he is in the process of creating and developing a new game. Robert will not give any details yet on the new game, he is keeping it under wraps for the time being.

The new game app will not be free to download like his other game app for Bubble Ball.

Making the first game free, was great strategy. Look at all the free publicity he got. Everyone will be looking out for his new game.

I think we need to recognize Robert for all he is doing. He will be a great inspiration to other kids thinking that they could never do something like this. If you have or know a child you would like to say told you so, just show what Robert has done.

Robert is headed for a very bright future.Congratulations on the success of your #1 game app Bubble Ball. Good Luck to you Robert in all you do.

What is it about kids and computing? Why is it so easy for them and so difficult for old codgers?

Somebody needs to look into that!

Great Hub!

Will, wow that was fast. I just had to tell this story about this amazing young man. Maybe it will help other teens to get off their butts.

Thank you for stopping by

Children are born with all knowledge, then they forget everything as the get older. :0)

He got his talent from God .

Good for Robert. I do understand how kids that have grown up in the technological age would be better than us old timers and come up with an app. I didn't even have computers in the classroom as a student in Highschool and in college.

I'm glad it won't work on my Nano. I just had both wrists operated on last year to get rid of my carpal tunnel syndrome, and don't need another way to screw myself up! But my kids each have an Ipod Touch, and they might like to play the game and hear the story of how it came about.

Thanks.

MT, Robert Nay will be going places. He is a very smart kid. He did all the research on his own and put this game together

Chris, I had that surgery too. It sucked! The game Bubble Ball if free to download, but his next game will not be free. I hope the kids have fun with it.

Aslan, AMEN!

The kid is brilliant no doubt, but I feel sure he has a great support system too - parents who encourage all this time he spends working on figuring stuff out.

Granny's House 16 months ago

Grace, you are so right. Parents play a big part in a kids education

It truly is an amazing story...But kids are smart, they can learn and be taught at very early ages, actually the early the better. I once read the Chinese mother and father play "classical musical" while the child is in the womb to stimulate their minds.

Good Hub, thanks for sharing.

b. Chinese and Japanese kids go to school all day and everyday. They are very strict with their kids.So strict that I am sure some of the whiners here in the US. would call it child abuse.

I started reading to my kids as soon as they were born. They all did very well in school. They could read and spell many words before they even started school.

It matters how much time you as a parent are willing to devote to your child. They are like sponges and soak everything up.

Hi, Wow! clever boy, sometimes a child will just 'grab' onto an idea, and somehow it all makes sense to him, what would totally confuse me, is easy for him, fantastic! cheers nell

gr82bme 16 months ago

Nell, how ya doin? Great to see you. Stayin warm? LOL

hi 6 months ago

its simple why kids are making games so easily coz making an apps requires lil sense of hard core programing concepts. The apps are very flexible and easy to use with read to use / available api / function to use. This is one reason you won't hear about these kids making kernel for embedded devices.(e.g mobile fone etc)
