Sungha Jung - Amazing Guitarist
My son Justin (who also plays the guitar) will come over often with his guitar, go on you tube look up songs he would like to learn to play. One day he came across Sungha Jung. Justin yelled, mom come here you have got to see this kid play his guitar! This boy was born with his guitar signed by Jesus!
Justin is always yelling "mom you have got to see this", so I was not expecting a lot. The video he had on was a very young boy, who looked around six years old playing, More Then Words by the band Extreme. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. I think what made it so special is the age of this guitarist.
About Sungha Jung
Sungha Jung was born September 1996 in South Korea. From what I have read Sungha started playing seriously in 2006. I have found photos of him with a guitar in his hands when he was younger then that.
Sungha got his love for the guitar from watching his father play. His father taught him what he could but Sungha learned so fast that soon he was teaching his self, watching video clips and learning from them.
Tears in Heaven
Playing Guitar Brings Joy
Sungha's parents have never forced him to play. It is his love and the joy of playing that had him playing from a very young age.
Sungha practices around two hours a day after school without sheet music or tabs. About 90% of his videos posted have been played with no sheet music. After watching a music video, it takes him about an hour to figure out the cords and fingering.
Sungha can spend five hours to a month to practice a piece before recording it.

Sungha - Composes
Sungha plays his own renditions. He is not just mimicking what he hears. Dedication, hard work and his love of music is what make him one of the best.
Tango
Ulli Boegershausen was Sungha inspiration to be a professional acoustic finger style guitarist.
Sungha once posted a video playing Tango by Ulli Boegershausen. When Ulli saw the video he was very impressed with sungha and his ability that they became and are still great friends.

I like your above answer Granny's House...It is so important to encourage children at a young age to take up an instrument and learn to play and read music...and eventually compose their own. Thanks for sharing this wonderful Hub and music by Sungha Jung.
Magnificent talent in this adorable, engaging youngster. I adore how he makes each piece of music his own...not just a replay of the original. Thank you so much for bringing this talented child to my attention. I would have been remiss to never have known his genius. I enjoyed your piece completely, Granny's House!
