Live Feed Of Eagles on Their Nest
This is so cool. I had to get it out to you all right away. My granddaughter who is only 6 called and said, Grandmom I am watching Eagles live on their nest.
Right now there are three eggs the female is sitting on. I feel so
privileged to be able to watch these beautiful birds in their own
habitat. The close ups are breath taking! It is amazing how close to the road they are.
This pair has been together since the winter of 2007-2008. The nest is in a cottonwood tree on private property operated by The Iowa Department of natural Resources
The Raptor Resource Project is a non profit Organization that specializes in the preservation of, Osprey, Falcons, Eagles, Hawks and Owls. Their mission is to establish and strengthen the breeding population of these Raptors.
The Raptor Resource Project maintains the cams, the stream is live online 24/7. The nest is about 5 to 6 feet across and about the same deep; it weighs about 1 1/2 tons! There are two cams and they are positioned about 4-5 feet above the nest. At night time the cams switch to inferred to view the nest.
I am so thankful to The Raptor Resources Project for making this possible for all of us to be able to view something this fantastic that none of us would ever be able to see.
Watching the Eagles is so mesmerizing, I can not tear myself away from the screen.I have left it up on my screen so I can watch their progress.
I am including the link to the live feed so you too can watch for the eggs to hatch and share this once in a life time experience with your family and friends of these these magnificent Eagles.

My goodness. How interesting. I had no idea the nests were so large and heavy! And the pair together for several years and caring for each other. Humans could learn a little from the birds!

Very cool. I love eagles and am lucky enough to live in an area where I can get out, just a short ride, to see some eagles live and in person. Awesome creatures. Thanks for posting the wonderful videos.
